What is the TheraPro™ Recovery Pad?
The TheraPro™ is a multi-modality wellness and recovery pad that combines PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) technology, far-infrared heat, red and near-infrared light, TENS microcurrent, grounding, and gemstone technology in one portable system.
How does the TheraPro work?
TheraPro combines three primary technologies that can be incorporated into the same wellness session:
- PEMF: Delivers low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields.
- Red & Near-Infrared Light (PBM): Provides photobiomodulation using red and near-infrared wavelengths.
- Far-Infrared Heat: Provides adjustable infrared warmth.
The pad also incorporates TENS microcurrent, grounding technology, and a natural gemstone surface.
What makes the TheraPro different from other recovery pads?
Rather than providing only heat or light therapy, the TheraPro combines several technologies in a single system:
- PEMF therapy
- Far-infrared heat
- Red light
- Near-infrared light
- TENS microcurrent
- Grounding technology
- Natural gemstone technology
Each modality gives you additional flexibility to customize your wellness and recovery routine.
What PEMF frequencies are available?
TheraPro provides 9 PEMF selections:
P1: 3Hz
P2: 8Hz
P3: 10Hz
P4: 25Hz
P5: 40Hz
P6: 48Hz
P7: 56Hz
P8: 64Hz
P9: Dynamic Mix
The Dynamic Mix setting continuously alternates through the available frequencies.
Why does the TheraPro include both sine and square PEMF waveforms?
The two waveforms provide different PEMF experiences, allowing you to choose based on your preferences.
Sine Wave
- Smooth, gradual waveform
- Gentler and more soothing
- Well suited to relaxation-oriented sessions
Square Wave
- Sharp, rapid waveform
- Stronger and more stimulating
- Provides a more concentrated PEMF pulse
Including both gives you greater flexibility rather than limiting the pad to a single PEMF waveform.
Does the TheraPro include red and near-infrared light?
Yes. The TheraPro incorporates both red and near-infrared (NIR) light, also known as photobiomodulation or PBM.
Red and NIR light operate at different wavelengths and penetrate to different depths, allowing the pad to provide more versatile light-based sessions.
If PBM sessions can be shorter, why does the PBM timer default to two hours?
Each PEMF setting operates on a 30-minute preprogrammed cycle, which can be restarted at any time.
The PBM (Photobiomodulation / Red Light Therapy) timer defaults to two hours because the pad is primarily designed for use on larger areas such as the torso and legs. According to the manufacturer, the shorter 30-minute guidance primarily applies to use around the head and face.
You can turn the red lights off at any time if you prefer a shorter PBM session.
The timer goes up to 12 hours and defaults to 8 hours. What does it control?
That timer controls the infrared heat only.
The infrared heat can operate for extended periods, including overnight use if desired.
The PBM/red-light and PEMF functions operate independently and are not controlled by the infrared heat timer.
Can PEMF, PBM, and infrared heat be used independently?
Yes. One of the advantages of the TheraPro is that its primary technologies have independent controls.
The PEMF, PBM/red-light, and infrared heat functions are not all tied to the same timer, giving you greater flexibility when customizing your session.
What's the benefit of having both PEMF and PBM?
PEMF and PBM are different technologies that operate through different mechanisms.
PBM uses red and near-infrared light, while PEMF uses pulsed electromagnetic fields.
Having both technologies integrated into the TheraPro allows you to incorporate both modalities into the same wellness session rather than purchasing and using separate devices.
How is the TheraPro different from a standard infrared or red-light pad?
The TheraPro goes beyond infrared heat or light therapy by integrating PEMF technology alongside red light, near-infrared light, and far-infrared heat.
Its infrared heat can also be used with or without the visible red light, allowing you to customize which modalities you want during a session.
What gemstones are incorporated into the TheraPro?
The TheraPro incorporates a natural gemstone heating surface featuring:
- Rose Quartz
- Jade
- Amethyst
- Shungite
- Tourmaline
These materials form part of the pad's integrated gemstone and heating design.
Does the TheraPro include TENS?
Yes. The TheraPro incorporates TENS microcurrent functionality for more targeted use alongside its other wellness technologies.
Does the TheraPro include grounding technology?
Yes. Grounding technology is integrated into the TheraPro's design as another component of its multi-modality system.
Where can I use the TheraPro?
The flexible pad can be positioned across different areas of the body, including the:
- Back
- Shoulders
- Legs
- Joints
- Abdomen
The Large model's 58" × 26" dimensions also make it suitable for broader, near-full-body sessions.
How long is a typical session?
The manufacturer describes typical sessions as approximately 20–40 minutes, depending on the technology and selected settings.
However, the individual functions have their own controls. For example, PEMF operates in 30-minute cycles, while the infrared heat timer can be set for considerably longer periods.
How often can I use the TheraPro?
The manufacturer states that many users incorporate the TheraPro into their routine approximately 3–5 times per week or daily, depending on their goals and preferences.
Beginners may prefer to start with shorter sessions and lower settings and gradually adjust based on comfort.
Is the TheraPro suitable for beginners?
Yes. Beginners can start with lower settings and shorter sessions and gradually adjust the intensity, duration, and combination of modalities according to comfort.
What voltage does the TheraPro require?
The TheraPro Large is available in:
110V
or
220V–240V
Select the correct voltage configuration for your location when ordering.
Are there any safety considerations?
Follow the TheraPro user instructions and recommended operating guidelines.
If you have an underlying medical condition, use an implanted electronic or medical device, are pregnant, or have questions about whether PEMF, TENS, infrared heat, or photobiomodulation is appropriate for you, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.
Stop using the device if you experience unexpected discomfort or an adverse reaction.
